The MVME5100 series is the flagship product of Emerson PowerPlus II VME architecture line, capable of achieving supercomputer level performance in a single VMEbus slot. It is based on an integrated PCI bridge memory controller ASIC design, providing up to 582MB/s of memory read bandwidth. This module supports two types of jumper configurable P2 I/O modes: PMC mode and IPMC mode. PMC mode is backward compatible with MVME2300/MVME2400. In PMC mode, 64 pins and 46 pins of rear I/O can be obtained from PMC slot 1 and slot 2, respectively.
The MVME5100 offers multiple processor options, including MPC7410 or MPC750 microprocessors, and is equipped with 32KB/32KB L1 cache and up to 2MB of secondary backend cache. Its front-end bus speed is 100 MHz and can be equipped with up to 512MB of ECC SDRAM, expanding to 1GB.
