METSO PDP601 distributed processing unit
An important feature of PDP601 is that its parser can read packets in block form. This type of parser can process these blocks to identify which protocols are used in the packet (such as Ethernet, Virtual LAN, IPv4, etc.), and extract certain fields from the packet into the packet header vector (PHV). Then, the output PHV is sent to the next processing stage or parser.
In addition, when combined with PDP603, PDP601 can provide complete power interference protection. This protection ensures the safe operation of sensitive industrial and commercial loads by providing voltage sag correction, continuous voltage regulation, and load voltage compensation.
From a data processing perspective, PDP601 utilizes Error Detection and Correction (ECC) technology. Compared to traditional parity check, ECC adds a data layer, so it can correct errors in a certain bit. If ECC discovers an error that it cannot correct itself, it will output a system fault.
