The MVME6100 is equipped with high-performance PowerPC processors such as PowerPC 7448 or MPC8548E, with clock frequencies of 1.4 GHz and 1.3 GHz, respectively. In addition, there are also versions that use the MPC7457 PowerPC processor and run at a frequency of 1.267 GHz.
MVME6100 supports up to 4 GB of DDR3 SDRAM memory. Some models also offer up to 2GB of onboard DDR ECC memory and 128MB of flash memory.
The MVME6100 adopts the Tundra Tsi148 VMEbus interface chip, which supports the 2eSST (Dual Edge Source Synchronous Transmission) protocol, enabling the transmission rate of VMEbus to reach 320MB/s. In addition, it also supports PCI expansion with 32/64 bit, 33/66MHz PCI connectivity.
