Highly reliable and responsive: Bentley’s 3500 series electronic overspeed detection system is a highly reliable and responsive redundant tachometer system specially designed for mechanical overspeed protection.
Redundancy and Voting System: The 3500/53 module can be used to form a 2 out of 2 or 3 out of 2 (recommended) voting system to improve system reliability and accuracy.
Multiple sensor inputs: The module can receive signals from eddy current sensors or magnetic sensors, with an input signal range of+10.0V to -24.0V.
Alarm output: In order to achieve machine protection, the module provides four types of fast response alarm relay outputs.
3500/53-02-00 133388-01 Installation and Configuration:
Redundant power supply requirements: The 3500 rack equipped with an overspeed detection system requires redundant power supply.
Installation location: The 3500/53 module can be installed in any slot (2-15) on the right side of the frame interface module, but the three module groups must be installed adjacent.
Configuration software: Use the 3500 rack configuration software to set alarm setpoints and other configuration parameters. When shipped from the factory, the 3500/53 module was not configured, but can be installed and configured as needed.
